Remember those bloopers and behind-the-scenes moments on DVDs?
They were special, offering fun and unexpected glimpses of how blockbuster films were made.
This walking tour takes you behind the scenes of Singapore, showing it as it is, without rose-tinted lenses.
Along Jalan Besar or 'Big Road' (in English), just minutes from Marina Bay, lies a network of side streets where vices once thrived. We'll explore these back alleys to reveal the uncut version of this super city-state.
Juxtaposed against traditional trades, this area is also a hub for the cool, the fancy, and the hip. However, the new developments are rapidly enveloping its cultural edges. If we wait too long, there will be no bling to peel, no traces of industries that shun the limelight, and no underbelly to expose.
We're just in time to catch a glimpse of this fading layer of society. Join us, put on this blockbuster DVD, and enjoy the "show" we've curated for you.
Bring a personal water bottle (our tap water is completely safe), comfortable walking attire and shoes, and an umbrella.
(For the 'Vanishing Craftsmen' tour, please also bring a house or office key for one of the activities.)
We will update everyone about any potential changes or updates a day before the tour, usually through WhatsApp. Please keep an eye on our messages.
For light rain, the tour will proceed as planned. In the case of a potential thunderstorm, we will decide 2 hours before our meeting time whether to postpone or continue.
If a heavy rainstorm occurs during the tour, we will make a decision at that moment. For any postponements, please discuss with us separately.
If the weather worsens while we are deep into the tour, the host will provide an alternative plan to ensure everyone’s safety first, and we will continue as normally as possible.
Please DM us at 67330188 or send us an email at info@tourstorypteltd.com, and we will do our best to make alternative arrangements or suggestions for you.
Yes, you are not required to stay for the entire tour. If you need to leave early, please inform us so we don't panic and call the police, which is what a panicked us would do.
